My May DT Day At Meljens Designs

Hi everyone!! Today is my May DT Day at Meljens Designs. This month the theme is Inspiration. I thought about it a bit and thought.. You know what my inspiration is each day??  Jesus, Prayer, My Savior, My faith, Hope and that there are still good people in this world. Something pretty new to me, but also something I'm trying to make a priority. So, with that in mind I used the images Faith Hope Love and Faith Hope Butterflies. And here is the card I came up with:

I used all pink and white on this card, which a touch of turquoise on the butterflies. I colored with Copic. I of course did some decoupage/popped several things LOL the lettering in HOPE, the hearts and circles, the butterflies. I used a Spellbinder die cut behind the top image. The two images are Faith Hope Love and Faith Hope Butterflies. On the inside I used two stamps from "Something Within" Unity Stamps. I added the die cut circle and added some gems to it. The pink paper is embossed.  And I think that is it.

Copic:
Hope: R0000, R20, R22, R24
Corners/Hearts: RV11, RV13, RV14
Butterflies: R0000, R20, R22, R24, BG000, BG53, BG57

Challenge #63 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

We have a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner! This week is Challenge #63 and we are playing with Pink and Girly with a bit of Sparkle! Here is my creation for this week:

I was able to use this awesome image from Delicious Doodles - Dragon Dreams. For this card I used quite a few die cuts from both Cheery Lynn and Memory Box. I also used one of my edge punches. I embossed the one paper in the middle and then used my sanding block to sand it a bit to bring it out more. I used Stickles on the flowers and parts of her and the little dragonette. I created the sentiment. There are 3 different patterned papers that I have no idea where they are from. I distressed some edges and tore others. I added a few gems as well. I colored the image with Copic.

Challenge #164 At One Stitch At A Time

Good morning! How about a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time? This is Challenge #164: Use A Digi. Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

For challenge #164 - Use A Digi, I used Adventure Kid King from Luke Carr Designs. I colored the image with Copic and tried to give him a muddy look. I used some Simple Stories paper that I had along with Kraft papers. I love this paper for boy cards! I used some Sizzix Splats in brown cardstock, which I inked around the edges and I created the sentiment. I only added a little bit of dimension to the image.. only his crown and a bit of his hair. The circles are all die cuts as well... Spellbinders.

Meljen's Designs Plays Words With Friends

Good morning everyone. It has been a long week so far. I'm so happy it is finally Thursday. And I have so much to do at work. I'm hoping I can really bust it out today. Taylor got a job for a couple of days. The kids only have one more week of school after this week. Michael is in his extra math classes until Friday. Bailey is waiting to find out this week if she gets accepted into the Honor Society. Kevin is feeling much better.. its only a 24 hour type bug.. REALLY icky bug though!!! But I'm really glad he is feeling better. And that is about it. I haven't gotten any crafting done this week. I've been so tired and I've been going to bed early. Hopefully I can get something done tonight :)

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! And a great rest of your week!! It's almost the weekend!! On to our challenge!

Today is a fun challenge over at Meljen's Designs. Our challenge this week is Words With Friends! For this sketch I used a piece of a page of a book. Here is my card for our challenge this week!

On this card I used two different images from Meljens Designs - I Love My Teacher and Little Apple Worm. I used scrap papers that I had to complete this card except for the base. I used several Spellbinder die cuts, flowers, gems, eyelets (apple), a page from a book, ink, and red puff paint. I colored the image with Copic and I decoupage/popped a few pieces on the card. On the front I popped the worm and the apple and leaf and on the inside I popped several letters in Teacher and the apple.

Copic:
Red - R24, R46, R39, R59
Yellow - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17

Challenge #62 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Good morning everyone! Can you believe the weekend is already over? Where does it go! I'll be off to work soon. Today I am taking an Advanced Microsoft Word class. Hopefully I will learn some new tricks :) Other than that, nothing special going on this week.

For Mother's Day I spent the day taking care of my sick husband. It was still a good day and by the evening he was feeling much better. At least he is on the mend!

I hope you all have a fantastic week ahead!!

Now, welcome to Challenge #62 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner ;) Here is my creation for our Ribbon and Lace challenge!

For this card I used all scraps. These scraps have been in my box for a while and I thought they would go perfect with my dragon! I also used some old ribbon that I had and the lace is a new purchase from Joann's. I used my corner punch on the black square, but only on 3 of the 4 corners. I distressed the edges of both of the banners. The lettering is two different Sizzlits (Graffiti and Girls Are Weird). The awesome image is from A Day For Daisies - Dragon Ride and I colored it with Copic. I also used some black puff paint and added small black dots onto him. Hmmm... I think that is everything. I decoupaged/popped the girl and the front wing.

Copic:
Dragon - T7, T9, YR15, YR16, YR18, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17
Dress - RV23, RV25, RV29
Hair: E50, Y21, Y26, Y28
